Everything We Know So Far About Royal Caribbean’s NEWEST Ship!

Royal Caribbean has officially confirmed the newest ship coming to its fleet!

Here is everything we know so far about this incredible new ship!

The new Royal Caribbean Hero of the Seas will be the fourth Icon Class ship in the fleet and will begin sailings out of Miami in August 2027.

This ship will have nine pools, all new waterslides, and over 28 dining locations. It will be 248,663 gross tons and be able to accommodate 5,654 guests at double occupancy, and will begin with 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.

It appears as though Hero of the Seas will be a true gem of the Royal Caribbean fleet, with Michael Bayley, president and CEO, stating, “With more water, more thrills and more choices for all ages, we’re continuing to build on what our guests love about Royal Caribbean and delivering the experiences families are looking for when vacationing together.

There will be a new pool called Coconut Cove, as well as a swim-up bar set to be the largest swim-up bar at sea! The waterpark will include mat-racing slides and two family raft slides, including the first funnel raft slide at sea.

Royal Caribbean classics like the FlowRider surf simulator, Adrenaline Peak rock-climbing wall, and Lost Dunes mini-golf course will also be making an appearance.

There will also be a new multi-course dinner experience called the Orleans Parish Supper Club serving food inspired by the early 20th-century French Quarter. We will also be seeing a new iteration of the very popular immersive Royal Railway dining experience with Royal Railway – Hero Station.

And if you’re a fan of classic Royal Caribbean dining, you’re in luck. Izumi, Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen, Chops Grille, Hooked Seafood,  El Loco Fresh, and Sorrento’s Pizza are all returning on Hero of the Seas.

And if your traveling with a group you might have to check out the Ultimate Family Treehouse suite a three-deck room with a rooftop terrace and private whirlpool. Plus a two-deck space dedicated to teens and two main bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and balcony!
