Very rarely does our heart melt over a cruise line announcement… alas, that’s exactly what’s happened!
Royal Caribbean Cruises are often known for their top-tier entertainment and sailing experiences, attracting millions of passengers each year. Well, after the cruise line’s latest puppy-centric announcement, we won’t be surprised to see millions more book a cruise ASAP!
Recently, Royal Caribbean took to social media to announce the addition of a new puppy joining the crew!!!
Skipper is “the newest and snuggliest Chief Dog Officer for Legend of the Seas”, and she will be living aboard the Legend cruise ship as a member of the Royal Caribbean crew!
This adorable golden retriever puppy is getting her sea legs real fast and has already been assigned a VERY IMPORTANT job — being everyone’s family dog! She’ll be “meeting new friends, having fun, and taking naps.” This is quite a hefty responsibility, but we have NO DOUBT that Skipper is up to the task!
Royal Caribbean revealed that Skipper is “the newest sister to Rover and Sailor, Chief Dog Officers on Icon and Star of the Seas” — so she’s got some mighty big shoes — er, paws — to live up to!
Life at sea is an interesting one for a pup, but don’t worry! She’ll be living with her human companion, “who will keep her happy and safe each day.”
Chief Dog Officers are stationed on select ships to boost guest and crew morale by providing a sense of “home away from home.” Rover was the first and was stationed aboard the Icon of the Seas, followed by Sailor on the Star of the Seas. Now there’s Skipper!
