If you’re anything like us, you are constantly daydreaming about being on the open water while relaxing with a drink or snack in hand. If we can hop on a cruise line at least once a year, we absolutely will!

Each time we hop on board, we’re already planning our next cruise. Now, thanks to Royal Caribbean, it’s easier to earn points on cruising!
The Royal Caribbean Group is introducing Points Choice! This new program gives returning sailors the freedom to earn points on any of the group’s three brands, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea. You can then apply them no matter the ship you’re sailing on!

This change is to enhance the cruising experience for “its most devoted guests with benefits that make loyalty more rewarding and connected across brands.” Jason Liberty, chairman and CEO of the Royal Caribbean Group, said, “Our guests are exploring more of our brands than ever before, and we believe our loyalty experience should grow with them. Points Choice gives every guest the power to direct their loyalty points within our family of brands, where they will have the biggest impact for them.”

This new points system is launching in January 2026, and it will connect several loyalty programs, including Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society, Celebrity Cruises’ Captain’s Club, and Silversea’s Venetian Society. If you sail with any of these three brands, you can now apply your points to any of the three programs, which will allow you to build your loyalty status with your preferred brand.

The Points Choice program intends to build on Royal Caribbean Group’s Status Match program, which lets all loyalty members from each of its brands to have equivalent tier status across all three brands. Their goal is for Status Match and Points Choice to “create the most integrated and rewarding loyalty ecosystem in the industry. ”

Members can continue to earn points as they already do, with the option to move points up to 2 weeks after they sail. You can make the choice for your points online, making it super easy. This new program will impact sailings that depart on or after January 30th, 2026. Be sure to keep following AllEars for more travel news, updates, and more because we’re serious about fun!
