People typically love the atmosphere that comes with eating in a Disney restaurant — the decorations, the music, the theming. However, one of the more underrated parts of Disney dining is the view you get looking outside!

Disney has announced some big news that will affect one of its popular dining experiences at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. If you have a Disney World trip coming up, you may want to consider avoiding this spot (sadly).
If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
Disney has announced that portions of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be undergoing exterior maintenance. During this time, views of the Seven Seas Lagoon from ‘Ohana will be partially or completely blocked off or obstructed.

Unfortunately, this means that a popular dining experience won’t give you the most that it has to offer. Yes, it will still feel the same inside and have the same character interactions. However, we could totally understand guests wanting to skip out because they won’t get that beautiful view outside. Rather, they may see construction.

Disney hasn’t made any news on when the maintenance outside will be complete, so we aren’t sure when the view from inside ‘Ohana will no longer be obstructed.

If you feel like this is something that will bother you during your dining experience, we’d say to hold off on making reservations until we get more word from Disney.
