If you’ve ever wanted to watch a room full of adults write a love ballad for a Disney villain while a pianist is “kidnapped,” Disney Cruise Line has finally made your dreams come true!

When Disney announced a whole lineup of brand-new lounges for the Disney Destiny, I expected creativity. I did not however expect to walk into a bar and immediately start rewriting Cruella de Vil’s theme song while a pianist was metaphorically held captive. But here we are — and honestly, it might be my favorite thing Disney Cruise Line has ever done.
Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Destiny, is full of fresh entertainment, reimagined experiences, and some of the most immersive lounges we’ve seen at sea — but nothing surprised us quite as much as De Vil’s. This fashion-forward, tongue-in-cheek space themed after Cruella herself ended up being one of the highlights of our entire sailing (and that’s saying A LOT because this ship is incredible!). Between a wildly fun interactive show and a menu of cocktails that feel crafted for a runway afterparty, this venue is bursting with personality.

If you’re sailing the Destiny soon, De Vil’s needs to be on your radar. Here’s our full review of the atmosphere, the entertainment, and every standout drink we tried.
A Lounge With Attitude
The moment you enter De Vil’s, it’s clear this isn’t just another cruise ship bar. The entire lounge leans into Cruella’s dramatic flair — sleek lines, pops of red, fashion-forward decor, and a playful but luxurious energy that’s giving “darling, fetch my fur coat.” It feels like a villain’s cocktail den in the best possible way.

It’s stylish but not stuffy, theatrical but still relaxing. During the day, it’s a great spot for a quieter drink, but at night? The atmosphere comes alive. And nothing brings this space to its full chaotic glory quite like the Cruella show.
Cruella’s Show: A High-Energy Experience Full of Laughs
We had heard whispers that Cruella might be making appearances throughout the cruise, but we didn’t expect this level of entertainment. Listed only at certain times in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator as Treble Making With Cruella, the show feels like a hidden gem — a pop-up experience that completely transforms the lounge.

The Storytellers kick things off by getting the entire room singing “Cruella De Vil.” Everyone’s into it, the energy is high…and then BAM! Cruella storms in, absolutely outraged to hear such a “horribly mean” song about her. She launches into an emotional spiral about Roger, wailing dramatically, flinging herself into a chair, and essentially giving the performance of an under-appreciated fashion icon.

It is prime meme fodder in the best way.
Once Cruella finally catches her breath from her theatrical display, the Storytellers decide the best way to cheer her up is to write her a brand-new song — something sweet, flattering, and completely self-serving (which, naturally, she adores).

Cruella agrees, announces she’ll return in ten minutes, and then delivers a line to us that had the entire lounge cackling: “The only way to keep a pianist in a room is with rope.” And yes. They proceed to tie the pianist up. Disney humor will always surprise you.

This is where the show becomes a full-room experience. The pianist plays a melody, and the Storytellers guide you through creating the lyrics: four rhyming lines for the verse, a group-created chorus, a volunteer to invent a dance move for the word “Cruella”, and cue cards handed out to the “lyricists” around the room.

It’s collaborative, goofy, and absolutely hilarious. The energy in the lounge shifts from “we’re watching a show” to “we’re part of the show.”
Cruella returns, ready to be unimpressed. That’s when it’s your turn to perform the newly written masterpiece, complete with dance moves, over-the-top dramatics, and plenty of laughter. And then, in a beautiful display of villainous satisfaction, she declared to us: “Now you’ve done it! It’s… it’s…WONDERFUL!” She ended by proclaiming how excited she is to rub this in Roger’s face, and the entire room was left buzzing.

The combination of improvisation, audience participation, comedy, and Cruella’s unapologetically dramatic personality creates one of the most memorable onboard experiences we’ve ever had. It’s interactive without feeling intimidating, funny without being forced, and fresh without relying on big sets or effects. If you see this show listed in your Navigator, go early. It’s REALLY that good, and the space is small!
The Drinks: Stylish, Clever, and Surprisingly Well-Crafted
One of the biggest surprises of De Vil’s is how genuinely good the cocktails are. Disney is known for fun, themed drinks, but they’re not always balanced. At De Vil’s, the mixology is elevated — thoughtful ingredients, playful presentations, and flavors that feel curated rather than gimmicky.

Here’s an honest look at each drink we tried.
Darling
If you love a cosmopolitan, this is its sleeker, more refined sister that will cost you $12. Made of Grey Goose Le Citron, Cointreau, Rose Cherry, Lime, Cranberry, its bright citrus leads the flavor, softened by cranberry, with just enough sweetness to make it approachable for vodka drinkers who prefer their cocktails smooth and easy.

It’s a crowd-pleaser and one of the more classic options on the menu — refreshing, balanced, and not too boozy.
Perfectly Wretched
This is the drink that stops conversations when it hits the table. Fashion-forward, whimsical, and extra in the best way, it’s basically a couture cocktail made of Belvedere 10, Elderflower, Lime, Agave, Cucumber, and Strawberries that’s served with edible glitter, a perfume atomizer, and a frozen “lipstick” for $30.

This drink (vanity set up?) comes with a few standout details. There’s a perfume bottle filled with lime–agave syrup that is misted over the drink…

…you’ll also get a compact of edible glitter for that photo-ready shimmer…

…and complete your look with a frozen strawberry “lipstick” tucked on the side.

Flavor-wise, it’s shockingly balanced. The cucumber keeps things crisp, the elderflower adds sophistication, and the premium vodka melts into the background. You taste freshness rather than alcohol, making it dangerously drinkable.

Is the lipstick’s gelatinous texture for everyone? Maybe not. Is it fun anyway? Absolutely!
The Henchmen
This might be the most unexpectedly delightful drink on the menu. Imagine a whiskey cocktail that really wants to be a margarita — and somehow it works.

While made of Camus VSOP, Bushmills, Orgeat, Lime, Bitters, the lime brightens everything, especially if you squeeze the wedge into the drink. The orgeat softens the whiskey’s edges, and the bitters tie it all together. At $12, it’s a smooth, flavorful, and icy cold drink to sip in a chic stemless wine glass.

It definitely has “sneak-up-on-you” potential, so sip thoughtfully.
I Live For Furs
This drink is bright, fruity, and shockingly refreshing. Somehow it combines vanilla and fruit without becoming too sweet, and the gin is so subtle that gin-hesitant drinkers may not even notice it’s there. It’ll also cost you $14.

The dalmatian-print gelatin disc floating on top is adorable — though texturally, it’s a little odd. It doesn’t affect the flavor, so if fun garnishes don’t bother you, it’s just another nod to the theme.
Overall, it’s one of the easiest-drinking cocktails on the menu.
Fearless Sir Galahad (Zero Proof)
The zero-proof $14 mocktail was an interesting twist we didn’t see coming.

Made of Free Spirits Bourbon, Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple, and Bitters, it’s a fantastic mocktail that doesn’t feel like a compromise. It’s aromatic, slightly bitter, and rich — all the flavor notes of a bourbon drink without the burn. If you want the ambiance of De Vil’s without alcohol, this is a standout option.
Love Bubbles
Love Bubbles is made of Angel’s Envy Single Barrel “High Seas Edition,” Strawberry, Lemon, and Pommery Brut Royal. At $18, it’s a beautiful drink presentation served in a stemmed cup with a playful lipstick kiss printed on the side.

It’s equal parts flirty and bold — a cocktail that looks dainty but packs a bourbon-forward punch. Even though the aroma leans fruity and bright, the first sip lands more like a chilled champagne spritz with a whisper of strawberry and lemon in the background. The Angel’s Envy gives it warmth and depth, while the bubbly keeps things crisp and celebratory. It’s a fun, elegant choice for bourbon fans who want something sparkling and stylish… and honestly, the lipstick imprint alone makes it worth ordering at least once.
Overall
What makes De Vil’s so special is the combination of three things. It’s immersive theming without feeling overdone. It’s chic, stylish, and playful. The lounge nails Cruella’s aesthetic without turning into a caricature.

It’s entertainment hits every note! The Cruella show is interactive and genuinely hilarious — the kind of unexpected fun you’ll still be talking about days later.

And, it’s filled with drinks that don’t just look good — they taste even better! De Vil’s offers some of the best cocktail executions we’ve seen on a Disney ship, period.

Whether you’re stopping in for a pre-dinner cocktail, staying for the full show, or popping in for a late-night drink, De Vil’s is a must-do on the Disney Destiny. The energy is infectious, the drinks are creative and well-balanced, and the entertainment is unforgettable.

Look ahead for this lounge’s experience with Cruella in the Navigator app, carve out the time — and we can’t stress enough to arrive early. Trust us, once the secret gets out, this will be one of the most sought-after hotspots on the ship!
