A BIG Disney World Hotel Construction Project Is Finally Complete!

If you planned a Disney vacation this year, you’ve probably found it difficult to find a window of time where something wasn’t under construction. From rides to resorts, Disney has been working on a lot of projects.

A couple of months ago, we found out that construction on a popular Disney World resort had been hit with a construction delay. We’re happy to tell you that a section has FINALLY been completed. Let’s take a look!

If you’ve been to Disney World recently, you’ve probably seen tons of walls around Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The popular resort is undergoing a lengthy routine exterior maintenance that will continue through 2027, so we aren’t expecting completion for a while. However, Disney had originally planned and announced that the port cochere was set to reopen by September 2025, but they were hit with delays.

After the delay was announced, the Disney World website noted the closure lasting through late November 2025. Well, here we are in December, and the time has finally arrived! We’re happy to say that construction on the porte cochere at the resort is officially done.

The port cochere is looking great — we sure felt good seeing it in all its glory once again!

It was nice to see it without any walls up. It’s been so long, we were honestly forgetting what it looked like. Now, when you visit the resort, you won’t have to worry about the port cochere being closed off anymore.

Obviously, we still have over a year for the rest of the construction to finish, but the progress is showing. Construction will be noticeable during daytime hours around the resort, so it’s something to consider if you want to stay here on your next Disney trip. The resort’s pools, dining areas, and most other amenities will remain available, as they have been, which is great!
