Popular Disney World Hotel Unexpectedly DELAYS Construction

If you’ve got a Disney vacation coming up, you’re going to want to be aware of a construction delay that Disney just announced!

A popular Disney World resort has been hit with a construction delay. Let’s take a look at all the details and find out when we can expect the construction to be complete (hopefully).

Disney’s Beach Club Resort is undergoing a lengthy routine exterior maintenance through 2027, so we weren’t expecting full completion for a while. However, the port cochere was set to reopen by September 2025.

We spoke with a Cast Member at the hotel who said this part of the project is now expected to be finished in about two weeks. We then checked the Disney World website, which notes the closure lasting through late November 2025.

Unfortunately for guests, this does mean that this work may impact views from various locations throughout the resort, and at times, alternate paths of travel may be in place. Disney is usually good at being low-key about construction to minimize disturbances to guests. That being said, with construction this big on the resort, it’s hard to see a stay here at the moment giving you the full magical experience you’d look for.

Construction will be noticeable during daytime hours, so it’s something to consider if you want to stay here on your next Disney trip. If you do choose to stay here, all services, including valet, luggage assistance, and transportation, will remain available.

On top of that, the resort’s pools, dining areas, and most other amenities will also remain available — which is great to hear!

When we last checked out the resort, it looked like new windows had been added to the roof structure that can be seen over the walls. A lot of progress has been made. At this point, we’re just waiting for them to start taking some walls down, so the resort can be back to all its glory.
