Something new just arrived at Universal Studios in Universal Orlando! We got to be one of the first people to check it out and, as Glinda and Elphaba once said, “I have been changed for good.”

Universal announced a NEW version of the Wicked Experience was coming to Universal Studios on October 31st, complete with new snacks, merchandise, and even costumes worn in the Wicked film. We got to check out the new version of the experience for ourselves, and let’s just say that Wicked fans CANNOT miss it!
While some aspects of the experience remain the same, such as the front room and the meet-and-greet with Glinda and Elphaba, it’s further into the experience that you’ll start to see the new additions. (By the way, we’re loving Glinda’s wintertime look for the season!)

Further into the experience, you’ll see costumes from the film, and while many of them are replicas, many of them (including the costumes in the glass cases) were ACTUALLY worn in the new Wicked: For Good film! Specifically, you’ll get to see the costumes from the Wizard, Madame Morrible, and Fiyero.

However, if you want to avoid spoilers for the film, you may want to avoid looking at the backgrounds too closely, because they’re spoilers in themselves! If you don’t know the big secret behind the identity of the Green Elixir man at the start of the first Wicked film (a.k.a. the man with whom Elphaba’s mother had an affair…and is the reason why Elphaba is green), you’ll want to really avoid looking at the backgrounds!

There’s also a BIG new photo op where the bubble used to be located. It’s now a yellow brick road with replica Glinda and Elphaba dresses and the Wicked: For Good logo.

We were also told by Team Members that 80% of the merchandise inside the exhibit is totally new! That’s not great news for my wallet, but it does make me even more excited to visit.

We had a BLAST, as you can see.
@allearsnet Wicked fans, you’re gonna LOVE this! ?? With Wicked: For Good hitting theaters in just a few weeks, Wicked: The Experience at Universal Orlando got an UPGRADE! ?? They have new costumes that were ACTUALLY WORN in Wicked: For Good from the Wizard, Fiyero, and Madame Morrible!!! How cool is that!? You can snap a pic right next to replicas of Elphaba and Glinda’s new costumes (they’re STUNNING in person ?), shop a ton of new merch, and even grab a Wicked-themed snack! If you’re trying to stay totally spoiler-free for part two, just a heads-up: some of the sets and backgrounds do give a few things away ?⚠️ Are YOU planning on seeing Wicked: For Good when it hits theaters!??I know I am! ?♀️ #wicked #wickedmove #wickedforgood #universalorlando #universalstudios
We also got to try the new treats available in the park to celebrate the release of Wicked: For Good! First up was the Emerald City Focaccia, which was surprisingly good! The focaccia was flaky and crispy on the outside but soft and airy on the inside with a great flavor. The pesto and the egg inside were also delicious — the pesto looks great with its super vibrant green, and then the egg really elevates it beyond a basic sandwich.

You can also grab the Yellow Road Shake, which is dulce de leche flavored and is a total burst of caramel flavor when you drink it. Unless you’ve got a MASSIVE sweet tooth, we recommend sharing it, because after our first sip, it just got a little too sweet. You can find this one at Schwab’s Pharmacy ice cream shop.

The other shake available is the Wizards Elixir Shake, and we LOVED this! This is a mint cookie shake, and the combo of chocolate and mint was more natural flavors rather than artificial, which we appreciated. The best part is the layer of cookie, which we can only describe as a cookie/Oreo slurry. It was one of our favorite shakes we’ve had in a while! You can also get this one at Schwab’s Pharmacy ice cream shop.

Finally, we tried the Strawberriful Waffle, which we weren’t particularly fond of. The waffle wasn’t stale, per se, but it was dry, and the toppings were aggressively sugary. The whipped cream was that fakey, grocery store bakery case flavor, which we didn’t love, so while this may be good for kids, we don’t think most people will like it.

This overlay will remain in place for the foreseeable future, as Universal hasn’t announced a closing date. Be sure to grab your tickets to go see Wicked: For Good, which releases in theaters on November 11th, and stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Wicked news!
