You don’t have to tell us twice when we’re invited to eat something in Disney World.

So when we got an invite for the Disney Eats Supper Club at Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafood at Disney’s Coronado Springs, we jumped on it. So come along with us as we try food at one of Disney World’s most underrated restaurants.
You’ll find Toledo at the top of Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs. The view is incredible: you can see Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and even part of Disney’s Animal Kingdom up there. The restaurant itself also has an upscale feeling, but at the same time, it feels cozy. We started our culinary journey at Dahlia Lounge,.

You can walk outside to take in that spectacular view.

We started with the Sangria Tinto made with Viña Borgia Garnacha, Torres Magdala Naranjas del Mediterráneo Liqueur, Simple Syrup, and Orange. It’s sweet and fruity. It’s a great drink for just sipping and enjoying that great view of Disney World.

Then we enjoyed some wine, which was delicious. Both were more on the dry side, but so flavorful. The sommelier explained that Spain’s vineyards don’t get as much rain as other areas, which tends to produce drier wines. The Bodegas Vatan, Triton, 2022 vintage, 100% Tinto de Toro (Tempranillo) was full-bodied with hints of smokiness and cherries.

The Paco & Lola Albariño from the Rias Baixas, 2023 vintage was a hint sweeter and tasted like apples with a touch of grass. What’s most interesting is that when trying both wines with the food items that we ate, the flavors changed when you paired them together.

Then we took our wines and headed inside to Toledo.

Time for some tapas! The servers brought out The Spaniard for Two, which is the Chef’s Signature Selection of Artisanal Charcuterie and Cheeses. We love a good charcuterie board, and this one did not disappoint. The bread was crispy and buttery, the meats were fatty and savory, and the cheeses were delicious. One cheese reminded us of a blue cheese, while the other was a bit creamier. It also comes with olives for those who like them.

The Rioja-braised Chorizo is Spanish-style Sausage, Rioja Wine, and Onions. Although we expected it to be spicy, it wasn’t. The meat was juicy with a great snap to the sausage’s covering. It also had a delicious gravy-like sauce on top.

Then we tried the “Tortillas Espanola” Spanish Potato Omelet. This was one of our favorite tapas we tried. It looks interesting, but it tastes like an egg white omelette with a sweet onion topping.

We also tried the Olive Oil-poached Tuna with a Cherry Salsa. Note that this is raw fish, which means that you’re getting a texture that not everyone is going to like, The fish was soft and tender, though, with a tangy topping on top that went well with the mild flavor of the fish.

For our entrée, we ordered the Plancha-seared Salmon, which is served with Asparagus Purée, Vizcaina Sauce, and Seasonal Garden Vegetables. As our reporter has a shellfish allergy, this was pan-seared for us (as the plancha is also where they cook their shrimp). The salmon was tender and moist with a slightly crispy exterior and flaky inside. The asparagus purée was smooth and herby.

Then we made it to dessert and were treated to a Dessert Flight, which featured a trio of desserts: The Toledo Tapas Bar, Basque Cheesecake, and the Classic Creme Catalana. Our favorite was the cheesecake, but these were all solidly good dessert options.

The Basque Cheesecake comes with Honey-Vanilla Sauce, Almond Crunch, Honey-Quince Glazed Seasonal Fruit, White Chocolate Chantilly Cream, and Hibiscus Tuile. This cheesecake was fluffy and creamy, as well as a bit lighter than a regular New York cheesecake. There’s a slight burnt taste on the top layer, which works well with the milky and creamy cheesecake beneath it.

The Classic Crema Catalana is served with Valencia Orange and Chocolate Tuile. This was our second favorite dessert. It’s a little sphere of custard goodness. It had a wonderful vanilla flavor, and the candied orange and orange slices on top really added to the whole.

Finally, The Toledo Tapas Bar is described as a dessert tasting the flavors of Spanish Coffee, crunchy Chocolate, Raspberry Mousse, and Lemon Curd. It’s really cool how the bar changed flavor as we ate each of the different mousses. The pastry chef recommended that we start with the coffee and end with the raspberry, so that’s what we did. The chocolate ganache coating was lovely, too.

Overall, we loved almost everything we tried here and will certainly be visiting this restaurant again. We know most folks might skip out on Toledo because it’s almost a secret how good it is, but we recommend you make a reservation ASAP.

Yes, I Know YOU Like Them, But Here Are 5 Disney World Restaurants I Avoid

Disclosure: We were invited by Disney to attend the Disney Eats Supper Club at Toledo. This did not affect our reporting of the event — our opinions are our own.

I’ve dined at Toledo many times including celebrating my birthday and my sister’s.
It has never disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful. The food, wine, drinks and desserts
are excellent. The waitstaff is always friendly. Prices are reasonable. The overall experience of dining
at Toledo has been better than many higher priced Disney restaurants. It’s worth your time and money
to enjoy this restaurant.
Typical overpriced Disney… for the price of that trip – you could have visited the REAL SPAIN … twice!
