Disney’s BoardWalk Resort Announces NEW Multi-Month Hotel Closures for 2027

Is it wild that we’re already talking about Disney World vacations in 2027?! Well, we are, and we’ve got a good reason.

If you’re already thinking that far ahead, we have news about multiple closures hitting one of Disney World’s most popular resorts. Before you book that fancy hotel reservation for a resort near EPCOT, you might want to hear us out.

 

One of the most charming resorts at Disney World has to be Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. All those vintage seaside vibes are just too good! Well, Disney is planning ahead, and we now know that there will be multiple refurbishments coming to the resort in early 2027.

From January 11th, 2027, through April 2027, the Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations (the pool bar) will be closed for routine maintenance. If you’re staying at the resort during this time, you may see and hear construction until the work is complete.

However, that’s not all the construction coming to Disney World in early 2027. We also got word that the entire Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment from  January 24th to January 30th, 2027. It won’t be down for a super long time, but it will impact transportation around Disney World.

The good news is that Disney buses will be available to take you from the hotels around EPCOT to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You will also still be able to take a boat to EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios from the hotel. But, if that Sykliner transportation is important to you, you may want to postpone your trip until it’s back up and running.

If you want to have access to the full scope of amenities during your stay at Disney World, there are still plenty of other resort hotel options, especially around the EPCOT area. This includes resorts like Swan and Dolphin Resort, and the Yacht and Beach Club resorts (we love both)!
