Hold up…did this spot just become the best quick service restaurant in Disneyland?

Here at AllEars, we’re always on the hunt for the best places to grab a bite, whether it’s a full-course meal or a quick grab-and-go snack. We recently went to Disneyland to check out this quick service spot, and it has now become THE spot to grab the best quick service entree at the park!
We recently went there to go to one of our favorite places to eat at, Royal Street Veranda in New Orleans Square, and they now have one of our favorite entrees at the park available.

The beloved Monte Cristo Sandwich is now on the menu at this quick-service spot for $13.99. It’s filled with Ham, Turkey, and Swiss Cheese, dusted with Powdered Sugar, and served with Jam. You used to only be able to get this sandwich at Cafe Orleans and Blue Bayou Restaurant, but it’s now here — and let us tell you, it’s as good as it’s always been!

We’re proclaiming this is the best quick-service entree since the Monte Cristo waffle, in our opinion. The difference is, you can get this at any time in the day, unlike when they had the waffle!

This sandwich is everything you want — it’s sweet, fluffy, and sprinkled with powdered sugar on the outside, with a little bit of a crunch to it. It was soft inside with the sweet, salty, and savory ham we absolutely love. The turkey was hard to make out between the ham and Swiss cheese, but the jam added a fresh and sweet berry flavor that went perfectly with the fried and sweet funnel cake-like outside.

If you can’t decide between a sweet and savory meal or a little taste of dessert, this is literally the best of both worlds. It’s also a cheaper and quicker way to get your Monte Cristo fix than dining at Cafe Orleans.

While we were there, we wanted to try the Coffee Fritters for $7.29. They are rolled in Cinnamon Sugar, drizzled with a White Mocha Sauce, and garnished with a Praline Sugar Streusel.

Unfortunately, we weren’t huge fans of these. Our problem with it was that the coffee flavor felt way too strong, at least in our opinion, but the texture was soft and warm, pretty much like a fresh donut hole.

We felt like they either needed more cinnamon or more of the mocha sauce; it could’ve balanced out the strong coffee flavor. We don’t mind a cold brew or latte without any flavors or syrups, but we thought this was just kind of boring. Coffee was the treat’s main flavor, and everything else was barely noticeable.

That being said, if you love coffee, you’ll probably like these. However, if you aren’t a huge fan of straight coffee and normally get your coffee flavored, you’ll probably want to try something else.
