CONFIRMED: Fireworks Are CHANGING at Magic Kingdom Soon

Magic Kingdom is seeing a lot of changes, and you’ll want to pay attention to this new one if you are planning an upcoming Disney World trip.

Cinderella Castle

This Disney park has rides closed for refurbishment (we’re looking at you, Big Thunder Mountain and Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin). The Rivers of America have been fully drained in preparation for the Cars-themed area, Piston Peak. But, the latest change could throw you throw a loop if you don’t plan ahead.

If you’re planning a trip to Magic Kingdom, you’ll want to take note of some important schedule changes for the park’s iconic nighttime spectacular, Happily Ever After. Beginning Sunday, August 31st, the fireworks will begin at 9:30 PM. Then, starting on Monday, September 15th, the show will move even earlier, kicking off at 9 PM. These shifts may seem small, but for guests trying to plan meals, Lightning Lane reservations, or a good spot on Main Street U.S.A., every minute counts!

It’s also important to remember that Happily Ever After does not take place on nights when Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. On party dates, the park closes early to day guests at 6 PM, and the evening entertainment is reserved for ticketed event attendees. This means you’ll want to double-check the official Disney calendar before you set your plans, so you don’t accidentally miss out on one of the most magical moments of your visit.

Halloween at Disney World

With the fireworks shifting times and Halloween season in full swing, planning ahead is more important than ever. Whether you’re squeezing in a late-night ride, booking a dessert party, or simply trying to grab the perfect castle view, these new showtimes could affect your evening strategy. Be sure to mark your calendar, set your reminders, and get ready to end your Magic Kingdom night with a little extra pixie dust!
