If you’ve flown to Disney World, you’ve probably stopped by the Orlando International Airport.

MCO is the closest airport to Disney, so you could say we know that special carpet and Mayor Buddy Dyer pretty well. Now, the popular airport is adding several new nonstop flights!

According to the Orlando Business Journal, over the next few months, MCO is about to add several new flights with multiple airlines, including some new destinations for travelers!

If you fly with Breeze Airways, Porter Airlines, LATAM Airlines, and Southwest Airlines, you need to make some notes. Starting with Breeze Airways, two new locations will get destination stops to Orlando!

We recently reported that the airline will start servicing Lincoln, Nebraska, beginning on December 10th, and Tri-Cities, Tennessee, starting on December 12th. Neither of these locations previously had flight plans to MCO, so this was great news! In addition to Breeze’s new stops, LATAM Airlines will add a new stop in Orlando.

The airline will begin flights to Lima, Peru, starting on October 26th. This will be another new destination for MCO! The next company adding new flights is Porter Airlines!

On December 12th, the airline is adding flights to Hamilton International Airport in Hamilton, Ontario, from MCO! Again, this is another new destination that MCO currently doesn’t have. Lance Lyttle, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, said, “The Orlando-Hamilton nonstop route will benefit passengers who are eager to explore these destinations during the winter season.”

Finally, Southwest Airlines is adding a daily round-trip service between St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Orlando beginning on February 5th. This is another destination not currently served at MCO. In March 2026, Southwest is bringing back seasonal flights to Boston, Salt Lake City, Portland, Maine, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In 2024, MCO had 57.21 million passengers pass through those famous green carpets, making it the busiest airport in Florida. Previously, Miami International Airport held that title! We love that access to Orlando is becoming easier and easier as Disney World and Universal make strides to upgrade both resort destinations.
