There have been numerous TSA changes lately. From needing a REAL ID to being able to keep your shoes on through security, we bring you all the details you need so your next travel experience can go as smoothly as possible.

A new change has started at airport security, and this might help you bypass some lines.
According to NBC News, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem said that “TSA will open security lanes dedicated to families and military service members.”

This line, called Families on the Fly, will be a dedicated security line for families with small children. They’ll also receive a $15 discount for TSA Pre-Check enrollment.

This program has started at the Orlando International Airport (MCO), which is perfect for those heading to Disney World on their vacations. Noem says this dedicated lane for families “will give them the benefit of recognizing that they have children with them, and will help make sure that [TSA] has the ability tot ake care of them and their families as they go through this expedited process with their kiddos.”

For service members, the Honor Lane will have expedited security checkpoints. It started in Nashville in June and will be available at 11 airports. The program will eventually expand to other airports, specifically near military bases. Military families can also receive free TSA Pre-Check enrollment.

We’re so glad to see TSA becoming more efficient to get wait times down. Especially in busy airports like Orlando, we love saving time in line. Make sure you keep following AllEars for all the travel news you need for your next adventure.
