Behind-the-Scenes Look: Disney Imagineers Take Us INSIDE the New Pirates Lounge in Magic Kingdom

So much new stuff is coming to Magic Kingdom that it’s hard keeping track of it all. First, a new Cars expansion is coming to Frontierland. Then, a new Disney Villains-land will be built behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (which is currently getting a massive update).

Then there’s the Pirates of the Caribbean lounge, Beak and Barrel, set to open in late 2025. Now, we’ve seen concept art for this new lounge, but Disney just shared a new look at it, including some of its cool details.

Beak and Barrel will be a new lounge with food and drinks in Adventureland. This upcoming lounge will “offer a welcoming haven for all pirate-kind, big and small, and everyone in between. Here, bandits and buccaneers-to-be from every corner of the seven seas are welcome to join together and raise a toast to the pirate life!”

Walt Disney Imagineering just posted a new video with a new look at the construction progress of the lounge, as well as a first look at some of its wild details. First up, we got a sneak peek at the booths in the Captain’s Quarters. Each booth will tell a different story about a different pirate lord. These stories have been hand-carved into each booth.

Next, we see a massive hole in the wall of the bar where a cannonball has shot through it to reveal the Mapmaker’s room. There’s even a spare cannonball embedded in the wall beside the massive hole.  This room was locked, and, well, this is how pirates get into a locked room.

We also got our first look at the impressive back bar. Check out these gorgeous details.

Here’s the full video Disney revealed of the lounge’s construction:

It looks like construction on the lounge is coming right along, and we can’t wait to see it all when it’s completed. We’ll be keeping an eye out for opening details and getting you all that information when it’s available, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
