Dear Disney, We’re BEGGING You To Bring The Halloween Party Pass Back!

It was the best Halloween treat we didn’t have to beg for—but now it’s gone.

Halloween

Back in 2019, Disney introduced the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Pass, and it completely changed the game. For a flat price, guests could go to almost every party night that spooky season—up to 35 nights of Halloween magic. But then… it vanished. And we’ve been trying to summon it back ever since.

Let’s rewind for a second, shall we?

In the fall of 2019, Walt Disney World quietly dropped one of the most mind-blowing perks we’ve ever seen: the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Pass. It gave you access to basically the entire run of party nights for one flat price—$299 for adults and $284 for kids (plus tax), with only Halloween night itself blacked out. That’s it. No catch. No tricks. Just the ultimate Halloween treat for Magic Kingdom fans.

To put this in perspective: That year, individual party tickets ranged from about $85 to $149 per night. So if you went to just three or four parties, the pass already paid for itself. Go to more than that and you were basically printing value. For locals, passholders, or even Halloween-obsessed travelers who could swing multiple visits, it was a total no-brainer.

And what made it even more amazing? The Halloween party isn’t some run-of-the-mill after-hours event. We’re talking about:

  • Rare character meet-and-greets (hello, Jack and Sally!)
  • Trick-or-treating across the park
  • Halloween-exclusive shows like the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
  • The fan-favorite Boo-To-You Parade
  • That fireworks show that somehow manages to be spooky, heartwarming, and jaw-dropping all at once
  • Plus, shorter ride lines (especially for Haunted Mansion, of course)

Now imagine getting to do all of that not just once, but ten, fifteen, twenty nights in a single season? That was the magic of the Party Pass.

But then came 2020. The Halloween party was canceled entirely that year for obvious reasons. When the party returned in later years, it was scaled down at first. Slowly, it grew back into its full form, and in 2024, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is back in all its spooky glory.

But the Party Pass? Still gone.

So what happened? Honestly, we don’t know. Disney never officially said why the pass was a one-and-done deal. And here’s the kicker: The party still sells out almost every night without the pass. So financially, Disney doesn’t need to offer it. They’re doing just fine moving individual night tickets.

But still—we’re BEGGING you, Disney, bring it back!

The Party Pass wasn’t just a fun idea; it created an entirely different experience. It let guests slow down and enjoy the party without the pressure to cram everything into one night. You didn’t have to sprint to every ride, show, and snack. You could do a little each night. You could skip the parade on Monday because you’d be back on Thursday. And if it rained (because it’s Florida), no big deal—you had 34 more chances.

And yes, we know there are logistical headaches. Crowds, capacity, all of that. But let’s be real—most people aren’t going to attend all 35 nights. The pass gave people the option to come back, and that freedom changed the way guests experienced the event.

There was also something incredibly special about knowing the party didn’t have to be a one-time thing. It made Halloween season in Disney World feel like a lifestyle, not just an event. It wasn’t just about getting more candy. It was about getting more Disney Halloween—and that’s something we’ll always want more of.

So, Disney, hear us out. You don’t need the Party Pass. You’re right. The parties will still sell out, and guests will still show up in droves. But we want it. We miss it. And we know we’re not alone.
