The Disneyland Resort’s 70th anniversary celebrations begin this month, starting on May 16th, 2025, and going until Summer 2026. Guests should get excited for some special shows, experiences, and more 70th anniversary celebrations — but it’s not all sunshine and roses. We’re going over attractions that will be CLOSED in May.

This May, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will have a combined 10 attractions closed for refurbishment. They are as follows:

Disneyland Park

Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, The Disney Gallery, and Walt Disney — A Magical Life — Opening July 17th, 2025

Nearly a year after its announcement, Walt Disney — A Magical Life is set to debut on July 17th, 2025.

For the first time ever, guests will be able to see the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt Disney in the new show “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” which will eventually play in rotation with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” after its initial debut at Disneyland park in 2025.

That show will have a solo run of its own for an unknown amount of time before it joins a rotating schedule with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln in the Main Street Opera House. Neither Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and The Disney Gallery in the same building has an official reopening date yet.

Meet Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow — Closed Indefinitely

No shocker here, but you still can’t Meet Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow. The attraction is still featured on the Disneyland website, but we’re getting the feeling that it’s now defunct.
