5 CHANGES Announced for the Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship

Even more changes are coming to the future of Disney Cruise Line!

While the fleet is in the process of being expanded, as the next ship, the Disney Destiny, starts sailing this November, Disney still makes sure to take care of their older ships. Last year, the Disney Dream underwent dry-dock changes after wrapping up its 2024 Summer Europe sailing season. Now, the Dream’s sister ship, the Disney Fantasy, is also set to get similar changes that the Dream did.

This year, the Disney Fantasy will take over the Summer European cruise sailings. Once the season is over, just like the Dream did last year, the Fantasy will enter a dry-dock period. This is the time that necessary maintenance can be done on the vessel as it is raised out of the water; hence, it is a dry dock. During this dry dock, the Fantasy will also receive some updates!
Donald’s Cantina
You may be familiar with Donald’s Cantina aboard the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, and similar offerings will soon be available aboard the Disney Fantasy.

The sister ships, Dream and Fantasy, have a Cars-themed quick service area, and after dry-dock, the Fantasy will be serving up Mexican dishes at Ramone’s Cantina. You can order both bowls and tacos.

Funnel suites debuted when the Disney Wish set sail, and now, these suites are being added to the older ships. A funnel suite themed to Sorcerer Mickey will replace the current spot for Edge. The same change was made last year aboard the Disney Dream.

Don’t worry, EDGE, the club for ages 11-14, will have a new space on Deck 5. These spaces will be the same as the latest changes on the Disney Dream.
An updated lounge for Concierge guests will be inspired by Herclues. As you probably guessed, this change was also made during the Dream’s dry dock last year.
If you enjoy relaxing and visiting the Rainforest Room during your Disney Cruise vacation, the Senses Spa on the Disney Fantasy will be updated during its dry dock!
