We Could Be Getting Some MAJOR Disney News Soon!

We could be getting some major Disney news soon! While events like Destination D23 are full of huge announcements, sometimes Disney uses other events like the SXSW conference to make announcements too.

A huge Star Wars event is coming up soon and we are keeping our eyes peeled and our ears open to see if any major news comes from the event! Of course, you all will be the first we tell if anything exciting is announced.

Star Wars Celebration Japan is almost here! This weekend-long celebration from April 18th through April 20th invites fans from all over the world to come together and celebrate Star Wars. This event has something for every kind of Star Wars fan, and we might even get some exciting announcements out of the event!

The event celebrates more than just the movies though, the Star Wars Celebration “revels in the excitement of new movies, television shows, books, art, and comics while also commemorating the vast history of the Star Wars universe.” Visitors can interact with a variety of guests including Hayden Christensen, Ashley Eckstein, Oscar Issac, Anthony Daniels, and more.

Additionally, the event has a number of panels happening throughout the weekend where we might see some announcements. Disney Experiences is hosting a panel on April 20th called Building the Galaxy with Walt Disney Imagineering. As well, there will be a panel called Lucasfilm Animation’s 20th Anniversary that will “celebrate 20 years of Lucasfilm Animation’s critically acclaimed stories and beloved characters including a sneak peek at what’s to come.” Plus, it is a whole weekend of Star Wars celebrations, so you never know what might be revealed.

The celebration is taking place April 18th through April 20th in Chiba, Japan at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center. We will be keeping our eyes out and ears peeled to see if any exciting news comes out of this event!

We are already keeping our eyes peeled for the BDX droids to make their appearance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World, and we are also looking forward to new scenes on Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run when the new film, The Mandalorian and Grogu, debuts in theaters.
