REVIEW: Is $15 Pie at the Cake Bake Shop in Disney World WORTH the Price Tag? You Be the Judge!

We know it’s hard to want to take a break from your incredible EPCOT day, but what if we said you should leave EPCOT just to grab a slice of pie?

Disney’s BoardWalk

If you take the exit between the France and UK Pavillion called International Gateway and turn left, you’ll stumble across The BoardWalk Inn, a magical strip of land filled with some of our favorite restaurants on property, including The Cake Bake Shop Bakery.

The Cake Bake Shop is split into two buildings, one being a table service restaurant with a great afternoon tea experience and the bakery where you can grab sweet treats at the counter.

Let’s go in!

Both locations are covered in pink, gold, and so much glitter! It’s hard not to feel the princess vibes when you walk in. While we love the cake slices, which the bakery is known for, we decided to try the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Pie Cup for $15, and it did not disappoint.

Yum!

The pie is a Callebaut Belgian chocolate cookie crust filled with creamy peanut butter mousse and topped with chocolate ganache and freshly roasted chopped peanuts.

Look at all those toppings!

This reminded us of one big Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup but with way more filling! The filling was rich and decadent, with the perfect amount of peanut butter.

The perfect texture

We loved the texture of the mousse, and it held up well on our fork. It’s more mousse-like than a normal slice of chocolate peanut butter pie, but that’s how we like it! It was gooey but too much so that it was difficult to eat.

We’re ready to dive in!

The addition of the peanuts on top added a nice crunch, and we loved the edible gold glitter on it, too!

So glittery!

This pie was perfection, but the only part we didn’t love was the price. The Cake Bake Shop is known for its high prices (including $22 slices of cake!), so we weren’t necessarily surprised by the $15 price tag for a cup of pie, but it’s still not our favorite part of the experience.

Cake Bake Shop Bakery

Overall, we’re obsessed with this Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Pie Cup, and you should take a break from your EPCOT day to head over to The Cake Bake Shop Bakery. Don’t worry, after your dessert, you can return to EPCOT and catch that Ratouille Lightning Lane.

Come inside!

  1. I like gooey things, so I was sorry to learn that this dessert “was gooey but too much so that it was difficult to eat,” to quote your exact words. I don’t like treats that tire out my jaw muscles. I’m not a fan of sipping very thick milkshakes through a straw for this reason. If I can convince someone else to buy this and then sample a single mouthful, that might be the best strategy.
