NEW LOOK at the Storyliving by Disney Residential Community, Cotino

Disney has released a brand new look at one of the core perks of its upcoming planned community Cotino.

Initially announced in 2022, Cotino (located in Rancho Mirage, California) is the first Storyliving by Disney planned community that’s planed to be a mixed-use development with “several residential options, hotels, resort facilities, and a retail center.” All that will be built around a massive lagoon, Cotino Bay, which we just our first good look at.

The massive 24-acre swimmable lagoon is bordered by a man-made beach. Access will be available for residents of Cotino, or guests who purchase a day pass for the beach.

A town center area is going to be built on the edge of the bay, and according to Disney will be “abundant with opportunities for laughter, play, and visiting with family and friends! This spot will connect various vibrant areas—with entitlements for a future hotel* and plans for a range of offerings, including: An open-air market featuring artists who create and share their work and
inspiring shopping, entertainment and activity locations, including Cotino Bay Beach, which will be available to guests for a fee.”

The bay and town center will be amongst a litany of amenities available at Cotino, which also includes a “magical collection of parks” throughout the community, some of which “feature unique themes and are envisioned as fun-filled spaces, some with shade structures, seating, activity lawns, a playground, beautiful plantings and sculptures making them favorite destinations.”
