So if you’re reading this, it’s highly likely you have a Disney+ subscription.

Maybe you just love watching classic Disney movies. Maybe you’re really into the new Marvel shows or all the Star Wars content. Maybe you’re nostalgic for older shows, maybe those you grew up with. Well, if you’re a fan of the Millennial favorite, Malcolm in the Middle, Disney has some HUGE news for you.
Variety is reporting that a revival of Malcolm in Middle is in the works for Disney+. Cue They Might be Giants’ “Boss of Me,” because it’s really happening and some of the show’s original stars are returning for the new series, including Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek.

The original series followed a dysfunctional working class family as they try to figure out their relationships to the world and each other, while Malcolm breaks the fourth wall and makes comments to the camera. The show was known for its references to early 2000s youth culture. The new series is a revival, and with the original stars returning, we’ll see an older version of Malcolm and his family.
The description of the new show reads: “Malcolm (Muniz) and his daughter are drawn into the family’s chaos when Hal (Cranston) and Lois (Kaczmarek) demand his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary party.”
The cast took to social media to make the big announcement:

This will be the third early 2000s show to get a reboot or revival. ABC previously reported it was working on a Scrubs reboot, while Hulu will be rebooting Prison Break.
We’ll keep an eye out for more details and let you know when the show will stream on Disney+, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
