We’re SHOCKED by the Crowds at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! That’s because EPCOT has officially kicked off its last festival of 2024!

It’s festival time!

The EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is one of the shortest events in the park, but it makes an impact. With dozens of new eats and drinks to try, festive entertainment, and the iconic Candlelight Processional, what’s not to love? That’s why it’s no surprise that crowds come to the park to celebrate, but just how bad are the crowds this year? We’re here to find out!

We’re at the very first day of the 2024 Festival of the Holidays which runs from November 29th to December 30th. Let’s take a look at the crowd levels on opening day!

EPCOT Entrance

We were ready to go and lined up for rope drop! There were already many other people with us who had the same idea.

Look at the crowds!

Guests staying at a Disney World hotel can enter the park at 8:30AM for Early Theme Park Entry. However, the rest of the parkgoers can enter at 9AM! It’s typically a flood of people at first until you get through the gates where there is plenty of time to spread out.

Lots of people!

The food booths usually open around 11AM, so the mornings on festival days are calm for the most part.

World Showcase crowds

Afternoons and evenings tend to be busier and feel more packed! Overall, though, we haven’t found the crowds during this year’s festival to be too bad. We’ll continue to update this post with more information about crowds as the festival continues, so stay tuned!
