So it’s no secret that yesterday was a very busy day in Disney World. It was Thanksgiving, after all, which is one of the busiest days of the year in the parks.
Magic Kingdom was completely out of park pass reservations, and we saw just how busy things were there with our own eyes. Now, we have a favorite ride hack that usually works for us in Magic Kingdom to avoid long standby lines WITHOUT having to pay extra. But yesterday, that ride hack would have been useless.​
So what’s our ride hack? Well, some of Disney World’s most popular rides — those rides that generally have the highest wait times during the day — have lower wait times just before park close. So if you don’t want to shell out the $$$ for Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane Single Pass, you can often hop in the standby line and still have a shorter wait time than you might have seen earlier in the day.
However, yesterday, that wasn’t the case, at least with TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom. In fact, this ride had some of its highest wait times just before park close: a whopping 105 minutes.
So on busy days, like holidays, don’t count on a ride’s line to be lower at park close. Now, let’s take a closer look at wait times in Disney World for yesterday, November 28th.
