‘Encanto’? A Growing Number of Disney Fans Say, “No, Thanks.”

Can too much of a good thing be a problem at Disney World?

¡Celebracion-Encanto!

We were thinking about Encanto and how it really won the hearts of basically everyone worldwide. Now, we’ve been seeing it pop up a lot — at the halloween party, EPCOT, Disneyland, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. All of that got us thinking about if Disney should keep adding Encanto into its parks, or have we officially reached “overkill”, so we thought we’d reach out to you and get your takes. Well, we asked, and you delivered!

We reached out to our followers on Facebook and Instagram to ask: “Do you think Disney should keep adding Encanto into its parks, or have we officially reached “overkill” territory?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments!

What do you think?

Now, let’s go over some of your top responses!

We Have Reached the Limit

For some of you, the Encanto love may have finally reached its peak. Our reader Ed put it simply with, “Once the attraction opens in Animal Kingdom, no more. I think it’s popular enough to support the level they have in the parks.” The sentiment was echoed by our reader Shawn with, “I think the one Encanto ride coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom is good enough.”

And Ed and Shawn aren’t alone. Our reader Kim pointed out, “I think when the Animal Kingdom redo of DinoLand is complete, they should focus on another IP.” It really seems there’s a group of you who are ready to see a fresh face, or at least, fewer instances of Encanto in the park experiences.

Disney Should Keep Adding Encanto Into Its Parks

That being said, there are others of you who can’t get enough! For example, our reader Julie shared, “I want all the Encanto!” If you’re still singing along to “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” on repeat, then this might be where you land, too.

There they are!

Julie and our reader Ilze, who simply said, “Never enough Encanto!” are all for the growing presence of Encanto in the parks. For them, more Mirabel, more magical Madrigal family moments, and more themed attractions aren’t just welcome — they’re a necessity!

How About Something New?

Then, we have a group of you who are open to more Encanto but wish Disney would give a little love to some of its other beloved movies. For example, our reader Cameron chimed in with, “They should start adding Brave attractions. And have Merida out for meet and greets more often.” It’s a fair point. Merida is a fan favorite who doesn’t get nearly as much attention as she deserves in the parks.

Similarly, our reader George proposed a slightly different take, sharing, “I’m still waiting on Robin Hood and a Sherwood Forest-themed land. However, Encanto is a great movie and worthy of a ride or two throughout the world.” Our reader Dianne even suggested Disney lean into a bit of the nostalgia by saying, “They should open a new nostalgia park where they reopen all the dead rides.” It seems there are some of you who are eager for those fresh ideas that bring some lesser-seen characters and themes into the spotlight.

  1. Enough Encanto, it’s in every park and The changes at Animal Kingdom are great but should also include wildlife from the southern Americas. Was At WDW in August and there was more Encanto than Mickey. That seems strange.
