ALERT: The FIRST Holiday Decorations Have Arrived at Disney World

Tomorrow might be Halloween, but Disney World is already preparing for the holiday season.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Yesterday, we saw work begin on the iconic life-sized gingerbread house over at the Grand Floridian. And soon, Magic Kingdom will start to transform into a winter wonderland as it prepares for the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the season on November 8th. We have been on the look out for more holiday decorations around the parks and resorts and we are happy to report that one park has already started decorating for the holidays!

Disney World is no stranger to starting the holiday season early as we saw Halloween decorations start popping up in the Magic Kingdom in early August. While Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starts on November 8th, the Christmas and holiday season does not officially start at Disney World until November 12th.

But it takes time to decorate all the parks and resorts, so Disney starts decorating early and today while we were in Animal Kingdom we spotted some very exciting new additions!

Is that what we think it is?

The lanterns have returned to to roof of Discovery Trading Company! We were in the parks early enough that it was still dark enough for them to be on.

Christmas is almost here!

Here is what they look like when the sun is up.

So cute!

We love how Animal Kingdom’s decorations fit the theme of the park. Soon, on November 12th, you will be able to catch the fan-favorite Merry Menagerie between Discovery Trading Company and Island Mercantile.

Not only has Discovery Island started to be decorated, but we also spotted some holiday cheer in DinoLand U.S.A.

This dino is ready for the holidays!

We are so happy that DinoLand U.S.A. will get one last holiday season before the first phase of the closure starts on January 13th, 2025,  so make sure to stop by to see all the decorations one last time.

Animal Kingdom will soon be home to a brand new Christmas offering. You will now be able to meet Santa Claus on the patio of Restaurantosaurus! He will be there celebrating the Dino Institute’s 75th Annual Holiday Party from November 12th until Christmas Eve.
