NEWS: SeaWorld Orlando Announces Two Day Closure Due to Hurricane Milton

We continue to follow any and all updates about Hurricane Milton which is currently on its way to Florida.

Now a Category 4 hurricane, the storm is expected to make landfall in Florida on Wednesday. To prepare, Disney World has announced the temporary closure of three hotels and updated its cancelation policy. Although there has not been an announcement about theme park closures at Disney World, another Orlando theme park just decided to shut its doors due to the storm.

SeaWorld Orlando has just announced that it will close on Wednesday, October 9th, and Thursday, October 10th. This comes after reviewing the latest route of Hurricane Milton “to ensure the safety of our ambassadors, guests, and animals.”

SeaWorld expects to reopen on Friday, October 11th, however, you should check back to their social media accounts for the latest updates and changes. Today, October 8th, SeaWorld will remain open until 5PM.

If you have a ticket for October 9th or 10th, all date-intended tickets have been extended through December 31st, 2024. No action is required — it should have updated automatically.

Also, if you were planning to travel to or from Orlando, the Orlando Airport is officially ceasing commercial operations at 8AM on October 9th. The airport urges travelers to check with their airline on the status of their flight.
