There are quite literally DOZENS of hotels in Disney World…how do you know which one to choose?

You can decide based on proximity to the parks, transportation options, or probably the most common deciding factor — cost. However, there’s one way that we love to rate the various resorts, and that’s based on their FOOD.
We were recently invited to visit the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve Hotel to try out some of their dining options! This is one of Disney’s newer resorts, having opened in November 2021.

The hotel is part of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts group, but it has its own stellar dining options. During our visit, we got to try out three different spots from the hotel.

First up, we went to Stir, which is the bar in the lobby. There, we got to try the Florida Beehive! It’s kind of a choose-your-own-adventure situation as you select the flavor that’s added. We went for the tropical vibes.

It was shaken with a Victoria-era champion shaker which was visually a very cool touch, and the flavor was light and sweet — not too overwhelming. It was definitely more fruity than alcohol-forward, and we would 100% order this again.

After that, we stopped by Tangerine Pool Bar to try out the Tangerine Whip. We could totally understand why this one is a fan-favorite for people staying at Swan Reserve. It’s a frozen pre-made drink with citrus imported from another state.

It reminded us a lot of a creamsicle, and there’s a nice note of vanilla. This would be so refreshing on a hot day by the pool!

To end out our media event, we headed to Amare, the Mediterranean table service restaurant at the hotel. We’ll share full thoughts on our meal there at a later date, but for now, we HAD to talk about their delicious dessert — it’s a citrus cannoli!

The shell was soft and crumbly, but held the filling incredibly well. The filling had a wonderful creamy texture with just a bit of oranges and citrus fruits in it, but it might cause you texture issues if you’re bothered with pulp-like consistencies. Overall, light and absolutely delicious.

That’s a wrap on our visit to Swan Reserve, thanks for coming along! We’ll keep you in the loop with any other must-try eats in Disney World.
