When you plan your Disney World vacation, you’ll likely use the Disney World website and My Disney Experience app to book reservations for dining and hotels.

Using the website and app certainly has its benefits such as easily booking and altering any reservations or plans for your trip. You can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass from your app and keep track of everything going on in your day right from your phone. However, the downside is that it is technology, and sometimes technology has difficulties, which is what happened to us recently!
We were on the Disney World website looking at hotel room options at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for one night in September, when we saw something strange happening. Normally, when you have a date selected, you will see prices listed for the different room options. What we saw, though, was “Check Availability” instead of a price!

When we clicked on the “Check Availability” button it opened a pop-up to change the dates, but when we did that it reloaded back to the same page with the same “Check Availability” button.

This wasn’t the only strange thing going on. When we opened the My Disney Experience app, we also got a pop-up notification saying “Pardon the Inconvenience.” It said that some of the digital experiences may be unavailable at that time.

Shortly after we encountered the problem, on the hotel website, it seemed to get fixed and began showing prices again. However, the notification and technical difficulties have continued on the app. Since Disney uses technology and an app for so much of your planning, technical difficulties like these are known to happen. Disney is usually quick to solve the problem, so the best thing to do is be patient and try refreshing the screen or closing out the app and reopening it.

While these issues are occurring you may notice other parts of the website and app experiencing problems. Hopefully, these issues are resolved quickly so reservations and plans can be made efficiently!
