Are you a fan of oversized foods that look like they’ve just gone through a reactor of some sort?
Pym Test Kitchen at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure is doing some science experiments on our food! The restaurant is known for its over-the-top food items. From giant pretzels (we’re talking HUGE) to giant chicken sandwiches, this restaurant serves up meals for superheroes. One of the best giant items we’ve ever eaten (and one of the best Disney desserts ever) disappeared near the end of 2023, but we have some exciting news — IT’S BACK!
Back in November 2023, Pym Test Kitchen removed the fan favorite Celestial-sized Candy Bar:Â Choco-Smash CANDY Bar from its menu and replaced it with the Choco Smash Cake.
Don’t get us wrong, the Choco Smash Cake is good, but it’s just not the same as the oversized Choco-Smash Candy Bar. This candy bar was HUGE (celestial-sized as Disney calls it). It wasn’t a surprise if you needed help devouring it, as it was so big one person might have a hard time by themselves (or not, we don’t judge).
It was made of brownie, nougat, peanut butter, choccolate, and caramel. It was like a Snickers, Three Muskateers, and Butterfinger all rolled into one candy bar. But sadly, it disappeared from the menu and was replaced by the Choco Smash Cake.
But now, we’re happy to announce that the Celestial-sized Candy Bar: Choco-Smash CANDY Bar is BACK at Pym Test Kitchen. It popped back up on the menu right along side the Choco Smash Cake. So if you prefer the cake, you can still get that too!
As of August 23rd, both desserts are now available at Pym Test Kitchen. Now, we don’t know if the Choco-Smash Candy Bar is here to stay or if it is only going to be around for a limited time. If you LOVE this dessert as much as we do, we suggest getting one sooner than later just in case it disappears again.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on this celestial-sized candy bar. If it disappears again, we’ll be sure to find out! In the meantime, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure also released their Halloween snacks on August 23rd. Be sure to check out all the new treats for spooky season at both theme parks!
