Disney Springs Store Announces Temporary CLOSURE

Perusing Disney Springs might look a little different the next time you come by to shop, eat, and check out the new nighttime entertainment.

You’d think we’d be used to the constant change of store within Disney Spring’s shopping district especially since we’ve seen so many close over the last year. While we’ve gained a few new stores, and even seen one switch locations with Disney Springs, it’s still pretty jarring to hear of stores we’re so familiar with closing with very little notice.

Another popular store at Disney Springs has closed indefinitely! It seems that closing stores with little notice has become a trend at Disney Springs over the past year and a half and now we’ve discovered another. If you’ve ever found yourself browsing the shops in the Town Center area, you’ve probably passed this store multiple times. In fact, it was one of our favorite places to stop in and look for the latest jewelry pieces, Minnie ears, and designer handbags that were exclusive to Disney World’s parks and shops.

Ever After Jewelry Co.

Ever After Jewelry Co. has closed its doors quietly without much comment on why. This store has been around at Disney Springs since its debut in late 2017. When we checked the posted hours for the store within the My Disney Experience app, no operating hours were currently listed… no matter how far out we checked through the remainder of the year.

The only official comment Disney has made so far on its closure is that it will be temporarily closing on June 16th, 2024. On the store’s page on Disney’s website, it says, “Ever After will be closing temporarily on June 16th.”

This means we could see the store return in the future however, we’re not currently sure how long that could be. Disney is known to continue to shape and grow all aspects of Disney World and not just the theme parks, so while we’re hoping this closure won’t be long, we should also prepare to be without it for a good while, too. Just last year, this happened with the Bowes Candle Company which relocated from its smaller location just adjacent to the Days of Christmas store to its own standalone store neighboring Sunglass Hut (which also got a brand new location and fabulous new look to its store).

Whatever the case may be, whether it’s coming back or we could see it replaced down the line, rest assured we’ll keep an eye on any progress for this store’s location.

UPDATED ON 6/19 AT 3PM: A reopening timeline is now in sight! Disney Springs posted an update on their social media. The update says “Our team is currently hard at work transforming Ever After Jewelry Co. & Accessories into Disney Ever After. ✨ This refreshed concept will bring a bright and fun feel to the space. Expect to see collections featuring your favorite characters, trendy merchandise, and plenty of huggable plush! Opening later this month.”

So we can expect a name change and a reopening by the end of June. We’ll let you know when we get more updates!
