EXCLUSIVE: Go Inside Magic Kingdom’s Brand New Gift Shop!

Attention, Disney World fans — we’ve got a new gift shop in the house!

Although people are focused on the new rides, attractions, and hotel rooms, there are some smaller (but significant!) happening around the parks. Recently, we got an EXCLUSIVE first look inside a new gift shop coming for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and we’re taking you with us right now!

Critter Co-Op is the name of the new gift shop that will house souvenirs for the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride (which officially opens on June 28th after several rounds of previews). While we previously saw the sign for the shop, there’s nothing like stepping into a new Disney area for the first time. It transports you right to the bayou! Soon after Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens, you’ll soon be able to find the merchandise at Critter Co-Op in Frontierland.

Located near the entrance to the ride, there are tons of little details with characters from the ride. It’s a continuation of the story from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure where you help Tiana find the missing ingredient for her huge Mardi Gras party. In the store, it’s officially Mardi Gras and it’s party time!

You’ll find things like newspaper articles about Louis and the musicians’ instruments hanging around the shop while they are at intermission. We adore this portrait with Tiana and some of the crew — making gumbo, of course!

We love browsing the store for Easter eggs like this pot of gumbo! Wait, is that a license plate…? This is Tiana’s pumpkin gumbo next to Naveen’s little guitar he makes in the film.

Disney announced that when the ride opens on June 28th, the collections for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and other Princess and the Frog-inspired merchandise will be available at the Emporium at Magic Kingdom.
