Disney’s Exclusive Club 33 Is Becoming a Movie Franchise!

Disney had some big success when it took a classic piece of Disneyland and threw it onto the big screen.

Unlike a lot of Disney IP where movie characters turn into rides and attractions in the parks, the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise is the opposite — he RIDE came first. And now, Disney is looking to a nearby, very exclusive Disneyland spot for its newest movie plot.

Club 33 is a very exclusive (and expensive) spot in Disneyland. Members pay thousands of dollars to join and for annual dues, and you have to know a member to make a reservation to dine at Club 33.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Darren Lemke, who wrote the Goosebumps movie, is writing a Club 33 script.

Club 33 was opened in Disneyland as a place to host celebrities and VIP, and evolved into the private dining club it is today. Club 33 locations have also been added in Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, and Shanghai Disneyland.

But in the movie, Club 33 is magical and “exists outside of time and space,” The Hollywood Reporter said. The story centers around a young detective who receives a mysterious invite to the club and then — as you might have guessed — a murder happens there.

The Club 33 members in the movie are some of the greatest minds of all time — geniuses, royalty, and more. If any of this is giving you “Night at the Museum” vibes, you’re not wrong — one of the producers of “Club 33” is Dan Levine, who made the “Night at the Museum” movies.
