Disney World Files Permit for Work at Old Key West Hotel

One thing is for certain about Disney World — it’s always changing!

That’s especially true at the hotels, too. Whether you’re looking to stay at a Value Resort, Deluxe Resort, or something in between, Disney World probably has a hotel for you — and if you’ve got an upcoming stay at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, we have an update!

If you’re planning a stay at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, we have an update you might want to know about! According to quite a few new permits we found, it appears that some rooms at this hotel will be getting new outlets and some other electrical work done in the near future.

We found about five permits that have been filed for work here, and although Disney hasn’t made any official announcements, it’s possible that folks staying here may see or hear some construction work, but from what we can tell this shouldn’t have much of an impact on upcoming stays. Of course, we’ll keep an eye out and let you know if anything changes!

CommuniCore Hall is set to open in EPCOT on June 10th, but a new permit reveals more electrical work is yet to be done here. The permit doesn’t get more specific than that, but we are excited to finally see this space open for the first time! We also spotted a new general construction permit at Mission: SPACE. Since the expiration date is only one year from the date it was filed, we’re not expecting any major projects here — but we’ll let you know if that changes.
