Hey Disney, You Left One MAJOR Thing Out of Your Latest Announcements

If there’s one important thing to keep in mind about Disney, it’s that what they DON’T talk about during big press conferences or calls is just as critical as what they do say!

Disney held its earnings call for the first quarter of fiscal year 2024 on February 7th, 2024, and it revealed some BIG news about the financial status of its theme parks, streaming businesses, movies, and more. And while we’ve got plenty of articles tackling what Disney did reveal in the call, there’s one interesting thing they did NOT talk about.

We didn’t get any information on a HUGE addition to Magic Kingdom, despite hearing about theme park updates. We learned that “business” has nearly doubled in the theme parks despite revenue that’s still relatively low, and we learned that as part of the $60 billion expansion, something new would roll out in every Disney theme park with a yearly cadence.

However, Iger didn’t say a THING about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The all-new ride is set to open sometime in 2024. We’ve gotten sneak peeks from Imagineers and we’re able to watch the construction grow nearer and nearer to completion each time we visit the parks.

Basically, things seem like they could be ready to rock and roll soon, but no one is talking about it. Weird, right? The last detail we heard regarding the attraction was in January, when Disney released height requirement information.

We were really hoping that the earnings call would provide some fun, new details or an opening timeline. Nope! The waiting game continues.
