Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! It is officially the week of Christmas!
We’ve been enjoying the holiday festivities in Disney World all month long, but there is something extra special about being there the actual week of Christmas. We’re all excited to celebrate with Mickey and friends. But we do have a word of caution for you as you embark on your holiday week in Disney.
As you might expect, Disney World will be VERY crowded this week. It is a very popular week to visit and Disney is aware of that. That’s why we’re seeing higher prices for Genie+. Sadly, a busy week means higher prices to skip those long lines.
Today, December 18th, you can purchase the Multiple Parks or Magic Kingdom option for $29, EPCOT for $21, Hollywood Studios for $26, or Animal Kingdom for $18.
Genie+ is the virtual assistant where you can purchase Lightning Lane selections. By using it, you can skip the main line and join the (usually) shorter Lightning Lane line. It could be a very useful too this week if you want to avoid the long lines at rides!
Thanksgiving week this year had similar prices, with Thanksgiving Day reaching $35 for the Multiple Parks and Magic Kingdom option. If you’re planning to be there on Christmas Day, be prepared to continue seeing price increases all week. It might be worth it, though, if you don’t like standing in lines!
