You Won’t BELIEVE Which Disney City Made the List of Top Googled Travel Destinations in 2023

Back before everything you’ve ever wondered could be answered by a Google search, people used to read books and talk to each other if they wanted to plan a vacation. But even then, hopeful travelers were limited to whatever was currently published and physically available — it was a whole different time! Today, you can pop over to a little place called AllEars.net if you have any Central Florida-related travel questions. 

OK, we’re done kidding around. We don’t need to tell you how valuable the internet is when you’re planning a trip. Every day, millions of people Google things like “planning a trip to Disney World” or “cheap flights to Orlando,” and every day, we share our travel tips and tricks with YOU. But just how popular of a vacation destination is Orlando, anyway? Well, this year’s Google report may shed some light — let’s take a look!

Recently, Condé Nast Traveller published part of Google’s ‘Year in Search’ data. The report shows what internet users have Googled over the past year. It’s like Spotify Wrapped but for Google searches!

Specifically, Condé Nast Traveller laid out the top ten destinations people have been Googling the most over the past 12 months. Most of the cities and countries that saw the biggest search increases are probably not a surprise, but among some stiff competition all around the world, did Orlando make the cut?

First, we’ll count down to the top most Googled country of 2023.  Any predictions for the country to take the #10 spot?

In order from least to most Googled countries to travel in 2023, the ranking is as follows:

1. Morocco
2. Malta
3. Egypt
4. Thailand
5. Cyprus
6. Croatia
7. Portugal
8. Italy
9. Spain
10. Greece

Surprise! Greece officially topped the list this year. Have you ever been? Better yet — did you Google this country?

Now, on to the top Googled travel cities and islands of 2023! Based on the data above, we’re predicting some popular European locations will make the list.

The following list ranks the top cities and islands from least to most Googled in 2023:

1. Rhodes
2. Orlando
3. Tel Aviv*
4. Seville
5. Marrakech
6. La Rochelle
7. Sicily
8. Delhi
9. Cork
10. Amsterdam

Do you see what we see? Orlando made it to the #2 spot! Clearly, people are still planning plenty of trips to Disney World these days.

Well, there you have it! Good old Orlando can hold its own against stunning destinations like Sicily and Amsterdam. Hey, why travel all the way to Italy when you can visit the Italy Pavilion in EPCOT, right? (We’re kidding, of course. If you have the chance to go to Italy, PLEASE do it!)
