Animal Kingdom is a park known for many things.

Yes, mainly animals, thanks to their awesome wilderness treks and pathways, as well as Kilimanjaro Safaris. But there’s also some pretty awesome food at Animal Kingdom as well. However, there are a few restaurants where we highly suggest you DON’T waste your money
Harambe Fruit Market
While we absolutely love the Harambe Market in Africa, we don’t necessarily recommend the Harambe Fruit Market.

Why? Well…it’s just fruit. Overpriced fruit, if we’re being completely honest, and we don’t think you should spend your food budget on that unless it’s an absolute necessity. If you think you’ll want to snack on some fruit in the park, we recommend grabbing some from a local supermarket ahead of your trip and bringing it into the parks with you.
Pizzafari
Many of you are probably not surprised to see Pizzafari on our list, and that’s because it’s just not even close to being as good as other offerings in the park.

It’s traditional theme park food, which is totally fine if you have picky eaters (if that’s the case, this is a good choice), but if you’re looking to really experience what Animal Kingdom has to offer, you can go to *almost* any other restaurant and get higher quality food.
Restaurantosaurus
For the exact same reason, we have Restaurantosaurus on this list as well.

Now, don’t get us wrong, the theming in this restaurant is pretty epic, but the food is, once again, just regular theme park food. If you’ve got a picky eater and/or someone who absolutely loves dinosaurs, then give it a try, but if you’re looking for a really great meal, this likely won’t be it.
Rainforest Cafe
Does Rainforest Cafe perfectly fit into the theme of Animal Kingdom? Pretty much, BUT there’s a very important reason why we don’t recommend dining here.

Because IT’S A CHAIN! There are Rainforest Cafe restaurants all around the United States, so if you have one near you, you can dine there when you’re home. Now, if you don’t have one near you and you’d really like to experience it, go for it! But just know it’s not technically an Animal Kingdom/Disney restaurant because it is located out of the park and not owned by Disney.

When the Tusker House was a counter service location, it was the place place eat. Food is still good and the same menu but having to pay almost 3 times more for same food because it’s a Character dining spot, just plain ruined it. Just my opinion
