We’re Begging You to Stop Doing This on Disney Cruises

Are you planning a Disney Cruise?

The Disney Wish

Setting sail with Disney Cruise Line can be SO much fun, but there is a LOT you need to know first as cruising with Disney is a LOT different than visiting the theme parks. However, there are some things you’ll need to know AFTER you book your cruise, including one VITAL thing.

So you might think you’ll want to get to the port early to board your cruise early, but here’s the thing: Disney Cruise Line will assign you a boarding time and if you arrive BEFORE that, you can’t board until your group is called.

Arriving at the Fort Lauderdale Port

In fact, if you arrive before your boarding group is called, you will not be allowed to wait inside the terminal — you’ll be directed to an area in the parking lot, meaning you’ll end up waiting outside where it could be hot.

You have to wait for your boarding group time

However, if you want to get one of the first boarding groups, there’s a way to do that. Be sure to finish your online check-in via the Disney Cruise Line app as soon as that option becomes available. This will get you a higher boarding group than if you wait until later to check in.

Time to board the ship!

So if you’ve booked a Disney Cruise, you’ll need to keep that in mind and make sure you arrive at the terminal at a time that’s closest to your boarding group time.
