WARNING: If You’re Visiting Magic Kingdom in December, Read THIS First.

We’re getting close to the start of December, which means the holidays start to really kick off in Disney World.

Magic Kingdom is ready for the holidays!

Yes, you can already grab tons of special holiday snacks, take in all the beautiful decorations, and grab tickets for the resort’s after-hours holiday events, but the start of December is when the festive feelings really kick in. However, if you’re visiting Magic Kingdom next week with a regular park ticket, you’ll want to pay close attention to those operating hours!

Heads up! Between Monday, December 4th, and Sunday, December 10th, Magic Kingdom will close at 6PM on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. That’s the majority of the week! The park closes early pretty often in December due to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Additionally, from Monday, December 11th to Friday, December 15th, Magic Kingdom is hosting more Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party events on three of the five evenings.

This means that on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, the park will close early at 6PM for regular ticketed guests because the party begins at 7PM. If you’ve got a ticket for the party, you can enter the park as early as 4 PM and stay all the way until the event ends at midnight.

The trend continues Sunday, December 17th, through Friday, December 22nd. Magic Kingdom closes early on four of the six days mentioned. Check the calendar before your visit so you aren’t caught off guard!

We don’t recommend visiting Magic Kingdom as a regular ticketed guest on party days because you miss out on multiple hours of park time, and those hours are essential for getting everything done.
