Disney’s Hollywood Studios is known for its fun and action-filled experiences. It’s also home to some great places to eat such as Ronto Roasters, Hollywood Brown Derby, and 50s Prime Time Cafe.

However, sometimes it’s great to escape the chaos of the parks and find a resort with great dining experiences! Not too far away are resorts like Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Riviera Resort, and the Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, each with excellent food options that must not be forgotten about! We’re sharing restaurants that are top-rated and not to be missed. They are certainly worth the travel time from Hollywood Studios!
Shula’s Steakhouse — Walt Disney World’s Dolphin Resort
If you go by boat, one of the first stops from Hollywood Studios is the Dolphin Resort. At the Dolphin Resort, you’ll find Shula’s Steakhouse, an upscale and indulgent restaurant that serves generous portions.

Shula’s Steakhouse is named and themed after the football player Don Shula. The ambiance is certainly there as it is very dark inside. The restaurant serves up large, mouthwatering meals that are very high-end. We’re talking steak that is $60 and up. Since this is a steakhouse, we recommend trying one of their several steak options!

Overall, Shula’s is very high-end and may be a once-in-a-lifetime restaurant to enjoy. But if you like a steakhouse atmosphere and are looking to splurge, this might be worth the quick boat ride!

Ale & Compass — Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Next on your boat ride, you’ll come up on Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. The restaurant we recommend inside the Yacht Club is the New England-inspired Ale & Compass.

The lunch menu has items like a Jumbo Lump Crab Dip appetizer and a Fish & Chips entree, while the dinner menu serves up a Blue Crab Bisque starter and New England Pot Pie entree. It is certainly New England comfort food and we love it!

The restaurant also has several plant-based options. There is also an Ale & Compass Lounge that you could visit on your trip outside of Hollywood Studios. This is just a short boat ride away and we would definitely recommend it!

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop — Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Not every restaurant on this list is a hearty meal. This next one is a fun, 50s soda shop-style diner. There’s a jukebox, fresh-off-the-grill burgers, and of course ice cream. Lots and lots of ice cream!

Some of our favorites here include the Angus Beef Burger, Chili Cheese Tots, and the famous Kitchen Sink! This is a must-stop location that is tucked away near the pool at The Beach Club. You’ll have to look for it, but when you find it, you won’t be disappointed. They also regularly have seasonal and event specialty shakes.

If you have a sweet tooth or are just looking for a fun, simple spot to grab a bite, you can’t go wrong with Beaches & Cream!

Trattoria al Forno — Disney’s Boardwalk Resort
The last stop on our boat ride from Hollywood Studios is the Boardwalk Resort. While the Boardwalk has several of locations for food (and more upcoming!), we are listing one spot that we think is definitely worth leaving Hollywood Studios for! Trattoria al Forno is an “original Italian restaurant” serving up delicious food!

This restaurant serves breakfast and dinner with delicious entree options such as Tiramisù Bread Pudding and Oak-grilled Strip Steak Florentine. They also offer plant-based and vegetarian options like the Plant-based “Bolognese” and Truffle Gnocchi.

Everything here is cooked in the open, exhibition kitchen which is quite large. You get to watch your meal be prepared here while enjoying one of their wide selection of wines. This is certainly a treat and a great reason to leave Hollywood Studios for a bit!

Topolino’s Terrace — Disney’s Riviera Resort
Some might say we left the best for last. Our last restaurant is not accessible by boat from Hollywood Studios. To get to the Riviera Resort, just hop on the Skyliner! There you’ll find Topolino’s Terrace, a place with two distinct dining experiences. You can go for the character breakfast or visit for the signature dining dinner that includes a dress code.

We really cannot say enough about this restaurant. It is beautiful and delicious. It’s located on the rooftop of the resort, so you get a birds-eye-view of the area around you. You can eat with Mickey and friends and enjoy one of the best breakfasts in Disney World or you can enjoy a delectable dinner and watch the EPCOT fireworks.

The food here is top-notch. For the Character Dining breakfast, adults cost $45 and kids cost $29. The dinner menu consists of a wide variety of starters such as Duck Confit Caramelle and entrees like the Filet Mignon. There are lots of options and we don’t think there are any that are bad. This restaurant is certainly worth the trip via the Skyliner from Hollywood Studios!
