We’ve been waiting for the Brightline train to finally open its route to the Orlando International Airport for some time now.

We’ve shared a first look at the station, details about how much tickets will cost, and estimates of travel times between Orlando and Miami. But, throughout this time guests haven’t been able to score any tickets to or from the Orlando station. Now, Brightline has officially taken one big step forward in opening this long-awaited route!
As of May 17th, travelers are able to purchase tickets between Orlando and South Florida for dates between late summer 2023 and early 2024.

As of right now, Guests can book tickets for travel dates starting on September 1st, 2023. But that’s NOT when the route will open. It’ll actually open sooner than that. Once Brightline officially announces an opening date for the Orlando Airport station, more tickets will be released for the summer.

If you are looking to travel between South Florida and Orlando on the Brightline train this summer, you’ll have a few options for fares. One-way SMART fares start at $79 for adults and $39 for kids. For groups of 4 or more, SMART fares are eligible for a 25% discount!

There are also PREMIUM tickets that include exclusive lounge access, select free food and beverages, and priority boarding. These one-way tickets start at $149 per person.

With both ticket types, travelers have access to food and beverage options, complimentary WiFi onboard, and spacious seating.

You can start booking your tickets for late summer today, but keep in mind that that website was initially struggling to keep up with demand this morning. When we first tried to book a ticket, we were met with a loading screen for a while. That was later fixed and booking was much easier.

The station’s hours of operation will be 5AM to 11PM daily.

In terms of the length of time you’ll be on the train, the ride between Orlando and West Palm Beach will be around 2 hours. The ride between Orlando and Miami will be around 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The current schedule between Orlando and South Florida features 16 daily round trips, with hourly northbound and southbound departures.

Parking will be available at the Orlando International Airport’s Parking Garage C. Brightline shares, “Fees range from $2 for 30 minutes, to $19 per day. The airport also offers Economy Lots for $10 per day.”
Compact travel items can go on the train with you while larger bags can be checked to your final station. Brightline notes, “PREMIUM fares include a complimentary first checked bag, and SMART fares are $25 per bag.”
