The Most UNIQUE Store in Disney World Is at It Again!

Disney World is full of hidden surprises.

While most people are aware of hidden Mickeys, did you know there are all kinds of details that you can look for while you’re in the parks? From nods to Imagineers to intricate backstories represented in tiny details, you could spend a LOT of time looking for Disney World secrets. Recently, on a trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, one Cast Member turned those hidden details into some Disney magic.

In Animal Kingdom’s DinoLand U.S.A., you’ll find Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures — a gift shop that is full of character. The story goes that Chester and Hester owned a gas station where the first fossils were discovered, so they turned it into an over-the-top gift shop.

Inside this retro roadside shop are dinosaur-themed trinkets, train sets, dioramas, and more — and you could spend all day looking at it all.

When we stopped by earlier this week, a Cast Member made a game out of it! She was passing out cards with “I Spy” details, creating a kind of scavenger hunt for visitors. First, she gave us an easy one — the “Guard Dino.”

But, they got progressively harder — we also had to find a vintage clock…

We won’t share all the hiding spots with you, where’s the fun in that? But it was a lot of fun looking through all of the details in the shop.

Next time you’re in DinoLand U.S.A., make sure to look up! And, maybe try to spot some of these on your own. Cast Members won’t always be playing this game, but you can have a lot of fun searching through the store and seeing the creative decorations.
