Getting This EXCLUSIVE Disney Souvenir Isn't Easy!

Disney Cast Members are incredible! Without them, the magic just wouldn’t be the same. After all, you don’t see hidden Mickeys at any old theme park.

It’s that special magic they bring to guests that inspired Disney to tell a story about one Cast Member’s creativity, and we had to share it with you!

As a part of Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration, Disney has been highlighting Cast Members whose unique ideas are creating waves of change from the cast to the guests. Here’s what they shared about Cast Member Paul Villegas.

Meet Paul, a Fantasyland Attractions lead and trainer who has a soft spot for the Storybook Land Canal Boats in Disneyland.

Villegas noticed that some young guests felt scared to sit at the front of the boats due to Monstro the Whale’s intimidating appearance. To help ease their fears, Villegas came up with an idea. He designed an “Official Whale Watcher” sticker that Cast Members could give to young guests and explain that it’s their job to keep an eye out for whales.

But Villegas’ creativity didn’t stop with one sticker. In fact, he’s designed stickers for several other Fantasyland attractions and shows, too!

Fantasyland is full of fun attractions!

According to his Disney profile story, his stickers have been well-received by both guests and Cast Members. He credits his creative streak to his sister, who happens to be a first-grade teacher.

Villegas’ has also earned the Walt Disney Legacy Award — the highest honor a Cast Member can receive. Talk about an inspiration! While getting this exclusive sticker might not be something every guest can do, it’s sure to be an extra special moment for little ones who can acquire it and hopefully, it’ll make their days feel a little less scary.
