Get ready Disney Vacation Club members, we have some HUGE news.
Though the sale of new Annual Passes for Disney World has been on pause for almost all pass types (except the Pixie Dust pass) for a while, things will be changing soon. And there’s a major Annual Pass update Disney Vacation Club Members will need to know about.
NEW sales of Disney World Annual Passes will become available online on April 20th, 2023! There will be new sales available for the Incredi-Pass, Sorcerer Pass, and Pirate Pass (the Pixie Dust pass has been available to purchase for a while and will continue to be available.
But not all pass types are available to everyone. The Incredi-Pass IS available to anyone. Sorcerer Pass is available only to Disney Vacation Club members and Florida Residents. The Pirate Pass is limited just to Florida Residents, and the Pixie Dust Pass is also limited just to Florida Residents.
Here’s the pricing:
- Incredi-Pass: $1,399
- Sorcerer Pass: $969
- Pirate Pass: $749
- Pixie Dust Pass: $399
If you’re a Disney Vacation Club member and wondering what news you need to know about when it comes to these passes, here’s the BIG update. Disney Vacation Club Members will get EARLY access to buying the Sorcerer Pass. Specifically, eligible DVC Members will get the chance to buy a new DVC Disney Sorcerer Pass online starting April 13th.
Who counts as an eligible DVC member? Well, you’ll need to be eligible for Membership Extras. If you are, then you’ll be able to buy that Sorcerer Pass early.
Here are a few other things to keep in mind in general:
- DVC Members do NOT need to be Florida Residents to buy the Sorcerer Pass
- Pass sales will be online
- A waiting room may be used
- The quantity of the passes will be limited so certain passes or pass types might become unavailable to buy at certain times (a.k.a. they could sell out for a period of time)
What about those who already have an existing Annual Pass? Disney has indicated that (as always) during your renewal window, you can renew into any available pass type. But also, on April 20th, existing Passholders will be able to renew their passes right away online (even if outside of their renewal window). Just know that the difference in price will have to be paid in FULL at the time of upgrade and the new pass will have the same expiration date as the original pass.
We’ll watch for more updates so stay tuned for all the latest.
