Genie+ is the paid replacement system for FastPass+. With the standard Genie+ service, you pay one price per person per day to make reservations to return and use the Lightning Lanes (old FastPass+ lanes) for most Disney World rides. There is also an Individual Lightning Lane service (pay-per-ride) where you can pay to skip the lines at individual rides (this is reserved for some of Disney’s most popular attractions). Today, ahead of the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day holidays, the standard Genie+ service has seen a BIG price increase.

Back around Thanksgiving, we saw the standard Genie+ service hit its highest price yet at $29 per person. And now, it seems the price jumps are happening again.

For context, Genie+ used to be a standard $15 per person per day (regardless of the day). That has since changed, and Disney introduced flexible pricing for the service depending on the day later in 2022.

So just what is the cost for the standard Genie+ service today, December 23rd? Well, it seems prices have JUMPED back UP to $29 per person!

Just yesterday, December 22nd, the price was $25, so this does mark an increase ahead of the Christmas holiday.

In terms of the Individual Lightning Lane (pay-per-ride) prices, things are not looking all that different compared to what we’ve seen recently.

Here is the pricing for December 23rd:

Keep in mind that all of these prices are subject to change in the coming days. Both the Genie+ price and the prices for the Individual Lightning Lanes vary by date. We’ll be keeping an eye out for updates on those prices and we’ll let you know what we see.

  1. No I would not or have I ever considered using the Disney plus service. I can’t even afford to take my family to Disney anymore. It is frustrating. But rhe mouse has to make his dollar. Understood! Magic, Quality, and Value.
