The D23 Expo provided fans with all kinds of unique opportunities to learn about what Disney is working on, but in 2023 you’ll want to mark your calendars for a different Disney event.
Destination D23 is returning to Disney World in 2023 and now we’ve got the official dates! Destination D23 will be available at Disney’s Contemporary Resort from September 8th-10th, 2023 to “celebrate 100 years of The Walt Disney Company.”
Think of Destination D23 as almost a mini version of the D23 Expo. In 2021, Destination D23 brought us some exciting news and sneak peeks. We got more details about a Disney show that was being transformed, an update on the Walt Disney World Railroad, another look at the life-size walking Baby Groot, and SO much more.
D23 reveals that those who attend Destination D23 in 2023 will be “among the first to hear exciting announcements and see sneak peeks from the many worlds of Disney.”
During the event, there will also be some opportunities to hear behind-the-scenes stories, see special guests, and more.
Now, here’s the really important part. Back in 2021, the Destination D23 event sold out in MINUTES. We expect something similar could happen this year.
In 2023, the tickets were exclusive to D23 Gold (paid) members. D23 hasn’t yet shared details about when tickets will become available and how exclusive they will be, but we’ll be on the lookout for that information.
In 2021, some of Destination D23 was live-streamed for those who couldn’t attend in person. There has been no word on whether that will return in 2023, but we expect it could.
Remember that D23 has different levels of membership. There is a free/general membership, but some events are exclusive to Gold members. Gold membership is $99.99 per year (or there is a Gold Duo membership for $129.99).
