Where to Find the WORLD's BEST New Attraction

We’re constantly seeing theme parks make new attractions with innovative technology.

Just recently, we’ve seen Disney World build its first “omnicoaster” with the introduction of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and trackless ride vehicles have been all the rage with additions like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Rise of the Resistance. But what kind of new theme park tech is being introduced around the world?

Recently, Tornado Chasers at Futuroscope was given the award for the “Best New Attraction of 2022” by the Themed Entertainment Association. The attraction opened up on July 2nd, 2022, and features the world’s first Dynamic Motion Theater.

“The entire Dynamic team is very honored and proud to have been a part of Tornado Chasers,” said Jerry Pierson, President of Dynamic Attractions, the company that built the high-tech ride system. “Futuroscope went above and beyond their commitment to create an immersive experience and the world now recognizes it.”

The TEA awards are very prestigious — the ceremony was held at the IAAPA annual global attractions expo in Orlando on November 15th. But it’s not the only award the attraction has won since it opened. It has also received awards for product innovation, best dark ride, and top new attraction in Europe.

According to the Dynamic Attractions website, a Dynamic Motion Theater immerses guests in a multi-media show with “sights, sounds and the smells of a thrilling adventure in every direction. The theater’s advanced, rotating screens move to reveal show sets filled with special effects and stage action.”

Is it possible that Dynamic Motion Theaters could be the next big step in theme park tech? We’ll have to wait and see. Theme parks are constantly searching for ways to make experiences more immersive for guests, so maybe we’ll start to see this addition in Disney World and Universal Orlando in the future. Sounds exciting!
