President Joe Biden to Speak at a Rally in Orlando Soon

Orlando often gets its share of celebrities, many of whom often make their way to Universal Orlando and Disney World.

Orlando (and its theme parks) have also been visited by Presidents and Vice Presidents over the years, with some surprising historical events even taking place within Disney World itself. Soon, Orlando will play host to another big name — the President of the U.S., Joe Biden.

According to Fox 35 Orlando, President Joe Biden is set to appear in Orlando on Tuesday, September 27th, to speak at a rally for the Democratic National Convention. This will be President Biden’s first trip to Central Florida as president and only his second to Florida since he took office.

The President was supposed to visit Orlando in July but canceled after testing positive for COVID-19. First Lady Dr. Jill Biden also had to cancel a recent visit to Disney World, where she was supposed to speak at the welcome event for the Warrior Games, for the same reason.

No other details have been given about President Biden’s appearance in Orlando, but if we learn more, we’ll let you know.

Note that the appearance of a big figure, like a President, in any city can lead to traffic delays and congestion. If you’ll be in Orlando on that date, plan to give yourself a little extra time to get to where you need to go, just in case you’ll be near the location of the rally or impacted by traffic in any way.
