If you’re flying, you’ll want to be prepared for a few potential nightmare situations.
Delays, cancelations, and lost luggage are just a few of the complications you could experience. And if your travels involve Orlando, you might just be experiencing some issues right now.
According to meteorologist Eric Burris, delays are starting to build at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) due to weather.

There were also some arrival delays of around 15 minutes.
In terms of weather alerts, as of the writing of this post, there were no weather alerts in place for Osceola or Orange County, but the National Weather Service had issued a “hazardous weather outlook” on September 15th, 2022. According to that statement, isolated to scattered lightning storms were expected to develop in the east-central Florida area in the afternoon.
The stronger storms could be capable of wind gusts up to 50 mph, and even some small hail.
WESH 2 News showed the hourly forecast with a chance for rain throughout some of the night.
Whether you’ll be traveling today or at some point in the future, be sure to check that weather forecast before you leave.Â
You’ll also want to try and account for delays and potential cancelations in your plans. In other words, give yourself LOTS of wiggle room between expected arrival times and dinner reservations, etc. You may also want to look at some alternative flights ahead of time to know what other flights could get you to your destination if your original plans fall through.
